Ozark County Man Seriously Injured Monday Afternoon

Theodosia, MO. – A man from Ozark County is recovering from serious injuries after being involved in an overturn crash Monday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop G’s Trooper K.L. Hogan is listed as the investigator of this crash.

The driver in this accident was James Reed, a 79-year-old resident of Theodosia. He was operating a Dodge Ram, travelling northbound on Highway P. Roughly five miles west of Theodosia, at 4:35pm, Reed crossed the center of the roadway and overcorrected, which led to him running off the right side of the roadway and overturning his vehicle.

The ram was totaled in the crash, and Reed was not wearing a safety device when it occurred. He was seriously injured as a result, and air ambulance conveyance was used to transport the man to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
