The camp is being hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay, Assistant Coach Michael Poindexter and Graduate Assistant Coach Joe Greenwood, and members of the Grizzly Basketball team.

Participants will learn basketball fundamentals for all aspects of the game during the camp, Phay said.

Only one session of the camp – from 9 a.m. to noon – will be held, Phay said. The growing list of activities scheduled for youths during the winter break prompted the change to just one session this year, he explained.

The session will be divided into groups based on the participants’ skill levels, Phay said, adding the camps are open to all youths of every ability.

All equipment for the camp will be provided, except for personal attire. Campers are encouraged to bring their own ball with their name on it, but a ball can be provided, if needed.

Participants also should bring their own water bottles.

Each camper will receive a free T-shirt.

The cost of attending is $95. Spaces are limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Registration forms can be downloaded at MSUWPGrizzlies.com/Camps/2023_General_Camps_Info.
