Jim Smith, 65, of Raymondville, Missouri, passed away on December 23,2023. He was born on February 5, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. Jim was a kindhearted and outgoing individual who loved the outdoors, fishing, and woodworking. He had a passion for working with his hands and was known for his skill in woodworking.
Jim is survived by his son, James Russel Smith II, his daughter, Sabrina Smith-Edgerton, granddaughter Sabrina Dawn Lask, grandson Trey Michael Smith, and grandson Zachariah McConahay. He is also survived by his brothers, Stephen Smith and Dennis Smith, and his sister, Kathy Smith.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Michael Smith Sr., his mother, Anne (Hennen)Smith, his brother, Michael Smith Jr. , his brother David Alan Smith, granddaughter Tierra Rayne Smith, and granddaughter Pearl Rayne Lask.
During his career, Jim worked as a Maintenance Worker at the US Forest Service and as a Sanitation Driver at City of Rolla Recycling. He took pride in his work and was dedicated to his job.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed pursuing his hobbies, which included woodworking, riding motorcycles, and fishing. He recently had a goal to pursue fly fishing.
A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held to honor Jim’s life.

Evan’s Funeral Home in Houston, Missouri and Greentree Christian Chruch in Rolla, Missouri will be assisting the family with arrangements.
