The Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Softball team won both games of its season opening double header against Mission University, formerly Baptist Bible College, Saturday, at Hilburn Sports Complex in West Plains.The Grizzlies took the first game 8-3 and the second game 15-1.

The Chiefs landed in Vegas Sunday for the Super Bowl. Running back Jerick McKinnon has been designated to return from injured reserve. He rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown in 12 games this season. Left guard Joe Thuney and wide receiver Skyy Moore are listed as questionable. Thuney has a pectoral injury and the NFL Network reported he may need surgery. The Chiefs are heading to their fourth Super Bowl in the last five seasons. They defeated the 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl 54.
