The Kansas City Chiefs are eyeing dynasty status on Sunday. The team kicks off against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for Super Bowl 58. KC edged the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s title game and, in addition to going for back-to-back championships, is also going for its third Super Bowl victory in five seasons. The Chiefs also made the big game in 2020, but lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, several players are considered “long shots” to play on Sunday. Running back Jerick McKinnon and guard Joe Thuney are both dealing with injuries and haven’t been able to practice. However, receiver Kadarius Toney has been practicing and could make a return after missing nearly two months with a hip injury.
