The West Plains Lady Zizzers held their Pink Out game against the Parkview Vikings on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024. The Pink Out game had Lady Zizzers wearing pink uniforms and raising money to help fight cancer. The Lady Zizzers enter this game with a record of 16 wins and 5 losses. The Vikings have yet to have a win this season.
West Plains opened the game with a 12 point run. Vikings only points this period were four successful free throws. The Lady Zizzers had a rough quarter with 8 fouls but, still ended the 1st quarter ahead by 14.
Parkview makes their first field goal in the 1st minute of the 2nd quarter. The Lady Zizzers continued to grow their lead to 30 points by halftime with a score of 42 to 12.
Following Pink Out halftime events, the third quarter got underway. One of this period’s highlights was the Lady Zizzers Olivia Lawson making multiple back-to-back steals leading to successful 2-point shots. The Zizzer lead continued to grow over the Vikings to 51 points.
The fourth quarter went quick with the Turbo Clock enabled. West Plains grew their lead by two points in the quarter and Parkview added three points to the scoreboard. The blowout by the Lady Zizzers ended with a 54 point lead over Parkview.
The Lady Zizzers win against the Parkview Vikings, 77 to 23. The total funds raised during the game for the fight against cancer is to be announced on Feb. 15, 2024.
