Licking, MO. – Yesterday, the Missouri Department of Corrections announced another death at the South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri.
The death is listed to have been called at 9:21pm on Sunday, February 11th. The offender was identified as Johnnie Sterling, a 70-year-old male who was serving multiple life sentences for what was listed as forcible sodomy, attempted forcible rape, and three counts of armed criminal action out of Jackson County.

Sterling was originally received in the Department of Corrections on October 4th, 2023, and is reported to have died of apparent natural causes.
