Jo Evelyn Door, 78 years, 6 months, and 10 days old, passed away on February 11, 2024 at her home in Ava, Missouri.
Jo was born August 1, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Joseph and Evelyn Yondal (Emerson) Harlan.
Jo was raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State College and received her master’s degree from University of Missouri. Jo was a high school teacher and eventually became a social worker. She retired as a nursing home administrator.
At a younger age, she enjoyed golf, tennis and water skiing.
Jo was a faithful women and always placed God first. She was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Ava, Missouri.
Jo and Michael James Door were united in marriage and spent many happy years together.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; daughter, Christina Comora Remley; and sister, Mary Davis.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Hartman and husband, Rob; four grandchildren, Ryan, Shane, AJ, and Michael; two great grandchildren, Austin and Valor; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Jo are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc. in Ava , Missouri. Memorials may be made to St. Leo’s Catholic Church.
