Steven “Steve” Cahoon

Steven Bradley Cahoon, 61 years, 3 months, 27 days old, passed away on February 20, 2024 in Rockbridge, Missouri.
Steve was born October 23, 1962, in East St. Louis, Illinois to Gus Ray and Rosemarie (DeBusk) Cahoon. Steve was raised in Illinois and moved to the Ozarks in 2019. In Illinois he worked at Peerless Premier in Belleville, Illinois for 30 years.
On February 15, 1980, Steve and Nancy Downey were united in marriage in Belleville, Illinois and together were blessed with three children.
Steve was currently working at the Rainbow Trout Hatchery at Rockbridge, Missouri. He was raised in the Pentecost faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and working on cars. His favorite thing was spending time with his grand and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Ray Cahoon and his brother, Donnie Cahoon.
Steve is survived by his wife, Nancy; three children: Sherry and Tom Laramore, Rosemarie Cahoon and Fritz Hoffarth, and Steven Ray Cahoon; his mother, Rosemarie Cahoon; two grandchildren, Thomas and Samantha Laramore; Allison Hoffarth; one great grandson, Kaison Laramore; siblings, Allen and Debbie Cahoon, Doris and Donnie Quillman, Linda and Roland Young, Sharon and Eugene Kinkade, David and Carol Cahoon; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Cremation services for Steve are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri.
