Last night it was the boys district semifinal games in our area. In class 3 district 10 Thayer beat Willow Springs 64-40. And Liberty topped Licking 59-50. Liberty will face Thayer in the district championship game Saturday at 3pm in Houston. The game will air on The Fox 96.9.
Class 2 district 2 semifinal boys’ basketball from Cabool. Vân Buren over Summersville 64-59, and Cabool over Plato 54-47. Cabool will play Van Buren in the Championship game at 6pm on Saturday at Cabool.
Class 2 district 10 boys’ semifinal basketball from Mansfield. Hartville over Bakersfield 65-46, and Gainesville over Norwood 66-57. Hartville plays Gainesville for the Championship Saturday at 5pm at Mansfield.
Girls district championship games class 2 district 10 at Mansfield Bakersfield plays Norwood at 6pm.
Girls district championship basketball class 3 district 10 Liberty plays Licking at 6pm at Seymour game will air on The Fox 969.
Class 5 district 6 seedings and on the boy’s bracket West Plains got the 5th seed and will play 4 seed Willard on Thursday Feb 29th at 530 at Marshfield in the first-round game will air on KDY 102.5
Class 5 district 6 girls’ bracket is set as well, and the Lady Zizzers got the 2 seed and will play Webb City in the first round at 7pm. The game will be played at Marshfield on Wed Feb 28th.
Jordan Binnington stone-walled the New York Islanders as the Blues earned a 4-0 win at Enterprise Center.
