Judy Irene Wallander was born on July 25, 1948, to Everett Earl and Mattie (Marler) Wallander in Camden County, Missouri. She went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2024, at her home in Birch Tree, Missouri.
Judy accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord at an early age and was a faithful member of the Montier Church of God of Prophecy for most of her life. For a while, she lived in Birch Tree, Missouri, but missed being able to attend her home church and moved back to Montier to attend the church she had so loved. Most recently, she attended the New Beginnings Church of Mountain View, Missouri. Judy truly loved the Lord and found much joy in her relationship with Him.
Survivors include her brother Dale Wallander and wife, Barbara of Mountain View, MO, sister Gail Anderson and husband, Harlan “Andy” of North Platte, NE, and brother David Wallander and wife, Sue of Mountain View, MO; brother-in-law, Johnny Busbey of Peace Valley, MO; sister-in-law, Pamela Wallander of Pomona, MO; as well as a host of nieces and nephews; and good friend, Linda Reddy. The family really appreciates her for the help and all the time she spent with Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Mattie Wallander; her sister Joyce Busbey of Peace Valley, MO, sister Shirley McQueen and husband, Eugene of Camdenton, MO, brother Donald Wallander of Pomona, MO, and brother Terry Wallander and wife, Pam of Arroll, MO.
Judy had polio as a young child and was the poster child for the March of Dimes. Even though polio left her disabled, she was always cheerful and loved by all who were privileged to know her.
As a young girl, Judy loved riding a 4-wheeler and picking up cans along the roads with her dad. She also loved children and spent a lot of time babysitting, especially her younger brothers and sisters. Judy would chase them across the house and could scoot after them as fast as they could run. Her beloved pets, especially Daisy, were her constant companions. She truly loved and appreciated all kinds of flowers and always had tomatoes growing in the summer. Judy was much loved by her family and all who knew her and will be very much missed.
