Diamond City, AR. – A big update has come out of the community of Diamond City AR. once again, as many of the same city workers that left their positions have returned.
This return followed after a mass exodus that was prompted by a City Hall meeting this past Tuesday night. Numbered in the loss were 4 of the 6 city council, the City Works department, and even the police chief.
City Public Works Director Johnny Burleson went on record stating reasons for the leaving were internal struggles. Burleson was included in the number of officials who had left Tuesday.
However, as many resignations never went to vote, many vacant seats have been filled by their previous stewards, save for the mayor.
A new mayor will be selected via vote upon the next City Hall meeting.
