The Orioles scored two runs in both the eighth and the ninth innings to defeat the Royals 4-3 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. First pitch of the game did not come until 6:05 p.m. after a five-hour rain delay. Cole Ragans [[ ray-ginz ]] tossed a gem, giving up no runs on a hit and two walks in six-and-a-third innings pitched. After Ragans left the game with a three-run lead in the seventh, Kansas City’s bullpen surrendered the lead. In the eighth inning, Gunnar Henderson’s sacrifice fly and Adley Rutschman’s RBI single cut the Royals’ lead to one. James McCann walked the game off with a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth, propelling the Orioles to the series victory. Baltimore is 4-and-2 on the season. The Royals are 2-and-4.
