Two Individuals Arrested For Narcotics And Weapons

West Plains, MO. – According to a press release, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the West Plains Police Department arrested a male and a female for possession of narcotics and weapons. 

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Preacher Roe and Renfrow in West Plains by the Police Department. During the stop, K-9 Tito did a free-air sniff and gave a positive alert for the odor of narcotics. After completing a search of the vehicle, they discovered drug paraphernalia, a firearm, a large amount of U.S. currency, and suspected methamphetamine. The male and female of the vehicle were transported to West Plains Jail to await charges.

The male was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon – Subsection 11 – Possess a Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance. He was given a bond of $7,500. The female was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Except for 35 Grams or Less of Marijuana. She was given a bond of $5,000. The individuals’ names have not been released at this time.
