Barry Dwight Woodward

Barry Dwight Woodward, 52, of Gainesville, MO passed away on April 22,2024 in West Plains, MO. He was born on November 10, 1971 to Edward and Laura Raye Woodward in Houston, MO.

Barry was a 1990 graduate of Dora High School. He went on to pursue his passion for law enforcement. He worked for the Ozark County Sheriff’s, then moved on to work at the Marbax Shirt Company until they closed. He then helped open the Home Depot store in Mountain Home, AR. Barry worked there for 10 years, then moved on to work for Harbor Freight in Branson, MO and later helped set up and open the West Plains Harbor Freight store.

In 1997 Barry married Michelle (Richard) Woodward. Together they raised their four children Nicholas and Zachary Woodward, Donovan and Autumn Anderson. He loved his grandchildren Mason and Olivia Nichols.

Barry loved spending time with family, fishing, going to yard sales, casinos, super-hero movies and reading comic books.

Barry is survived by his wife Michelle; their children and grandchildren, his brothers Eddie Woodward and wife Josie, Rocky Woodward and wife Pam, Cary Woodward and wife Melanie, brother-in-law David Collins; Uncle Tommy and Aunt Phyllis Shipley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Laura Raye Woodward and one sister, DeAnn Collins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday April 27th, 2024 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon to service time. Burial will be at Pleasant Mound cemetery in Dora, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House; 949 E. Primrose St; Springfield, MO 65807. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
