Rolla, MO. – According to recent reports, a suspect is in custody after shooting a pharmacy employee, robbing the business at gun-point, and getting involved in a high-speed chase.
The main source of this report comes from Phelps County Focus, who stated they spoke to Rolla Police Chief Sean Fagan about this incident. The suspect had entered the Sinks Pharmacy on 10th Street and used an AR-15 rifle to shoot an employee in the leg and steal various drugs from the business before trying to escape.
Law enforcement caught up to the suspect and began a high-speed pursuit moving eastbound on State Route BB. A police car was struck as the suspect turned around near St. James, before eventually being stopped via a pit maneuver.
The identity of the suspect is currently not known and has not been released. Formal charges are pending.
