Cheryle Lynn Ard was born October 26, 1957, in McDonogh County, Illinois, to Harold and Phoebe (Hammond) Yocum. She departed this life on June 28, 2024, in Mountain View, Missouri.
Cheryle was united in marriage to Terry Lee Ard on June 3, 1975, at the courthouse in Macomb, Illinois, a union blessed with three children. She served her community as a CNA working with home healthcare.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Phoebe; husband, Terry; daughter, Michelle Ard; nine sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Terra Lynn Ard of Morton, IL; son, Terry Lee Ard, Jr. and Cleo Smith of St. Charles, IL; brothers, Leslie Yocum and Charlie Yocum of Plymouth, IL; sister, Carol Hiland of Augusta, IL; grandchildren, Tayler Lynn-Marie Ard, Terra Lorian Ard and Terry Lee Ard, III; and several nieces and nephews.
She was one of a kind. She had a big, loving heart and always had a smile on her face. She would take in everyone who needed help. She loved her son beyond measure, but she especially loved her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 6-8:00 p.m. at 9842 US Highway 60, Mountain View, MO, 65548. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
