Florence Marie Stark

Florence Marie Stark, daughter of James Virgil and Edna Elizabeth (Beasley) Brannam, was born on March 17th, 1953. She left this world on June 27th, 2024. Marie was married to Alvin Ray Stark on October 5th, 1969, and from this union three children were born. She was saved at an early age and attended Ozark Baptist Church for many years, and most recently until her health would no longer allow, she attended New Beginnings Baptist Church. Her work included many years at the Lee Factory in Houston until it closed, Briggs & Stratton, and the Texas County Memorial Hospital dietary department. She enjoyed gardening, her animals, and fishing. She looked forward to the Raymondville Picnic and went every year she could to visit with the family that held their reunion at that time. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Edna Brannam and a sister Maggie Smith who she was very close with.

Marie is survived by her children: Ray Stark and wife Melissa of Rolla, Kevin Stark and wife Teresa of Houston, and Heather Reynolds and husband Kenneth of Houston. Also surviving are her brother Jim Brannam and wife Joan of Licking. Grandchildren Paige Stark, Nichole Stark and Bryant Hord, Hayley and Andy Edwards, Kyler Stark and Hailey Straite, Danielle and Isaiah Buse, Lilly Walker, & Kenneth “Mini” Reynolds. Two great-grandchildren, Willow Hord and Ryker Edwards. There are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that will miss her greatly as well. There will be no services at this time and there will be arrangements for a celebration of life at a later date.
