Missouri State Highway Patrol Gives Fatality Report For The Fourth Of July Weekend

Missouri – The Missouri State Highway Patrol released their report of fatalities and injuries during the Fourth of July weekend.

According to that report, 8 individuals were fatally injured in traffic crashes. Which is down from last year’s Independence Day weekend where 15 individuals died on Missouri’s highways. The counties where the fatal crashes occurred were Taney, Monroe, Pike, Adair, Newton, Chariton, Maries, and St. Louis. One of the victims was a Colorado man who was struck by a vehicle while he was riding his bicycle on U.S. Highway 24 in Chariton County.

There were no boating deaths reported during the weekend. The Highway Patrol also reported 159 individuals injured in traffic crashes and 147 individuals arrested for driving while intoxicated.
