Chiefs Spring Training reports

Chiefs quarterbacks and rookies hit the fields at Missouri Western for the first training camp practice. First-round pick Xavier Worthy showed off his athleticism after missing much of the spring due to a hamstring injury. Worthy says the playcalling and route running felt pretty good on day one. (cut) The Chiefs first full practice is open to the public, on Sunday.

Chiefs rookies are getting their first taste of training camp after two practices. One of those rookies is second-round pick offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia (Soo-ah-ma-tee-ay) who will compete with Wanya (Wan-yay) Morris for a starting job this camp. Suamataia says he has a good relationship with Morris. (cut) The Chiefs first full practice is open to the public, on Sunday.

Rookie safety Jaden Hicks has been utilized all over the defense by defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo Hicks says Spagnuolo matches well with his skillset being able to utilize that versatility.
