Yellville, AR. – An investigation was recently started after a man fatally fell off a residential roof in Yellville, Arkansas. The man was 68-year-old Steven Loy Davenport, who was pronounced dead at the scene on the morning of Friday, August 2, 2024.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence after receiving a call around 7:45 a.m., who stated that an individual had fallen off a roof and needed immediate assistance. Davenport had allegedly been working on the roof that morning.

The scene has been processed and an investigation is on-going. Officers will release more information as it becomes available on whether there was any foul play in the incident.
