The Royals are now sharing the summit of the AL Central. The team silenced the Guardians 6-1 from Progressive Field and both sides have the same record at 75-and-58. Paul DeJong crushed a two-run homer and Salvador Perez notched a pair of hits. James McArthur earned the win in relief after Michael Lorenzen left in the second inning with a hamstring injury. The Royals have won three in a row. They revisit the Guardians this afternoon. Right-hander Michael Wacha is scheduled to start against Cleveland righty Tanner Bibee.
