Junior Franklin Edgar was born March 8, 1935, in Eminence, Missouri, to Eldon William and Ruth Elena (Banks) Edgar. He departed this life on August 30, 2024, in Republic, Missouri at the age of 89.
Junior was united in marriage to Florence “Betty” Elizabeth Bowman on June 24, 1956, in Birch Tree, Missouri, and to this union, two daughters were born, Brenda and Tamara.
He graduated high school and worked for Boeing as a Heat Treater for 30 years.
Junior is preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Ruth Edgar; brothers, Glen Edgar and Bill Edgar; sister, Thelma Edgar Shelton; half-brother, David Edgar; and half-sister, Darlene Edgar Tucker.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Florence Edgar of Ozark, MO; daughters, Brenda Haynes of O’Fallon, MO and Tamara Pieczynski of Ozark, MO; grandchildren, Kurtis Schuldt of O’Fallon, MO, Joseph (Yuting Huang) Pieczynski of Seattle, WA, and Kayla (Brent) Wiles of Pea Ridge, AR.
Junior never met a stranger. He enjoyed listening to country music, RVing, fishing, and hunting. He liked to collect hats and anything Eagles. His quick wit and down-home personality will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri with Bro. Darrell Jones officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Eminence Cemetery, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com
