Grovespring, MO. – A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred on August 4, 2024, at 6:50 p.m., five miles north of Grovespring. Sixty-four-year-old Bruce Maples was driving a 1993 Chevrolet van eastbound on Maples Road when the vehicle began to slide, veering off the left side of the roadway. The van then struck a tree, causing extensive damage to the vehicle and leaving Maples with serious injuries. He was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
