Wheaton, MO. – A man from Yellville, Arkansas, was seriously injured in a semi-truck crash in Barry County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred on September 6th, 2024, at 12:01 a.m., two miles east of Wheaton. Forty-three-year-old Thomas Barnes was driving a 2025 Peterbilt semi northbound on Highway W when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the truck to run off the left side of the roadway and strike an embankment. Barnes sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
