Thelma Margaret Venezia, 95 years, 10 months, and 29 days old, passed away on September 4, 2024, at Cox South Hospital with family by her side.
Thelma was born October 5, 1928, in Edmonton, Kentucky, to John Buford and Lou Frances (Sneed) Humes.
Thelma was a Christian and a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God (Holiness). She loved her church family.
Thelma and Bob McNamer were united in marriage and had five children. She later married John Venezia on November 3, 1988.
Thelma enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her favorite joy was cooking for her family and friends.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husbands Bob McNamer and John Venezia; son, Randall Eugene McNamer; step-daughter, Sarah Nelson; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Tate McNamer; sister, Opal Taylor and her husband Austin; and brother, Norman Humes.
Thelma is survived by her children and their spouses, Patricia and Bob Stanton, Robert McNamer, Jerry and Dana McNamer, and Cheryl and Randy Evans; two step-daughters, Mary Wheeler and Martha Frye; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Michelle, Lisa, Brandon, Michael, Christopher, Amber, Raegan, Riley, and Carson; many great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Thelma will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM to service time. Burial will be in the Fairmont Cemetery in Willow Springs, Illinois at a later date. Officiating will be Michael McNamer. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Bible School.
