Willow Springs, MO. – Yesterday, the Willow Springs School District released an official announcement to the public regarding another rumored threat on social media. Read below for the exact address.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to inform you that we have become aware of another rumor circulating on social media regarding a potential threat to our school. Law enforcement has confirmed that this post is a recirculation of information we previously communicated on September 9.
Following a thorough investigation by local authorities and school officials, we have found no credible evidence of any danger. We take all reports of this nature seriously and are committed to the safety of our students and staff. As a precaution, there will be an increased police presence on campus tomorrow to ensure a secure learning environment. The safety of your children remains our top priority.
To ensure the comfort of our students and avoid any unnecessary alarm, we have decided to cancel the fire drill that was scheduled for tomorrow.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Dr. Marty Spence
Superintendent
Willow Springs School District
