Willow Springs, MO. – A woman was killed after being struck by a train.
According to a report from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a notification from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. The railroad reported that one of their train crews saw a person on the tracks, who was subsequently hit by an oncoming train.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Megan Erin Corman of Willow Springs. Preliminary investigations suggest that Corman was lying on the tracks in the path of the train. The investigation remains active and ongoing. Authorities urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to contact Investigator Webb at 417-256-2544.
