Man Arrested After Holding Two Juveniles at Knifepoint

West Plains, MO. – A West Plains man is facing four felony charges after holding two juveniles against their will at knife-point.

According to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, this happened on September 17th, when a pair of male juveniles were bow hunting on a property near County Road 1300. Before they packed to leave, an unknown male threatened the pair with what appeared to be a firearm and a large knife, and forced them to follow him back to his camper.

After being held at the location against their will for a short time, the unknown man’s mother arrived, and the two were told to leave and then reported the interaction to law enforcement.

William Sanders was then arrested after an investigation, found with not only the knife he has used, but several throwing knives and what was revealed to be a BB gun.

He is facing two felony charges of 2nd Degree Kidnapping, a charge of Armed Criminal Action, and a charge of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
