The National Weather Service in Springfield has released an informational packet on drought conditions in the area, and with no rain projected in the forecast, these conditions are expected to worsen.
While a drought is not present within most of our listening area, sections of Ozark and Douglas County, as well as most of Shannon County are in the beginning stages of a drought.

Above average temperatures are also likely to be present through until mid-October, and precipitation chances favors a “below normal” outlook over the entire month.
