West Plains, MO. – City officials gathered Tuesday morning to bury a time capsule filled with memorabilia from the “Party in the Path” celebration that surrounded the total solar eclipse six months ago.
Along with the items placed in the time capsule, a letter was written to address the residents of the West Plains area in 2124, 100 years after the event.
A dogwood tree was also planted during the event to mark the occasion, and a mural was unveiled which featured artwork from event posters and brush strokes added by children attending the event.
