New Toy Drive Comes to West Plains Area

West Plains, MO. – We’re now in the final quarter of the year, and as we look forward to the coming holidays, we’ll begin to see organizations preparing for the Christmas season as well.

New to West Plains is a toy drive organized by several local non-profits for kids across the listening area.

This project is being called the Southern Missouri Christmas Toy Drive, benefitting 37th Circuit Children’s Division, Birch Tree School District, Bakersfield School District, Mountain View Community Betterment Program, and Ozark Action.

Toys of any kind will be accepted at the start of November through to the 30th, and then distributed to the benefitting organizations, who then deliver those toys to local children through various means.

The organizations in charge will be holding a “Fill the Van” toy collection event on November 9th in the parking lot of Community First Banking in West Plains, near Walmart on November 9th, giving community members an easy chance to take part.

For more information, you can also call organizer Shannon VonAllmen at 417-372-5306.
