The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells Ozark Radio News that a 25-year-old Mammoth Spring man was killed when he was partially ejected from a pickup that ran off of Highway 142 and overturned, seven miles west of Myrtle. The driver, 54-year-old Robert M. Powell of Thayer, was seriously injured and was also charged with felony driving while intoxicated, involving the death of another person. Neither Powell nor the passenger were wearing a seatbelt.
