On December 14, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.(CST), Wreaths Across America will be at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1019 E. 3rd St., Mtn. View, Missouri to “Remember – Honor – Teach” about our local veterans buried there. The public is welcome to accompany the wreaths that will be escorted from the VFW Post 3009, Mtn. View prior to the Cemetery by the Mtn. View City Police and Fire Departments.
Prior to the nationwide remembrance ceremony, Ozark Spring, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (Ozark Spring, NSDAR) along with the ongoing support provided by the VFW Post 3009 of Mtn. View, family members present, and volunteers from the local and surrounding communities will place the Remembrance Wreaths on as many of the graves of our fallen heroes as possible. In remembrance and honor of their service to our country each veterans’ names will be read aloud as the wreaths are placed on their graves. Please bring a lawn chair.
