State Representatives Tara Peters and Bennie Cook Announce New Staff for Upcoming Session

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – State Representatives Tara Peters and Bennie Cook are pleased to announce the addition of two new members to their office for the upcoming 2025 legislative session.

Jacob Brown joins as Legislative Assistant (LA), and Isabella Englert steps in as the office’s intern.

 

Brown began his role in early November of this year and is a recent Truman State University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics. He has experience with legislation from the time he spent working for Secretary Ashcroft’s office during the last legislative session and with the House Republican Campaign Committee over the interim.

 

Englert is a current student at the University of Missouri, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a focus on pre-law. She aspires to attend law school and pursue a future career in lobbying.

 

Representative Cook, R-Houston, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded team and the contributions they will bring, stating, “We are very excited to welcome Jacob and Isabella as our new office members for the 2025 session. I have no doubts they will both be vital and productive members of our team.”

 

Representative Peters, R-Rolla, echoed the sentiment, congratulating Jacob and Isabella on their new roles. She pointed out, “It is refreshing to have new members in the office, and I am looking forward to the upcoming session and all I know they will bring to the House. We trust that their addition and contributions will ensure our constituents are represented at the highest standard. Coming from such good educational and experiential backgrounds, we cannot wait to see what they can accomplish.”

 

Representatives Peters and Cook are confident that the addition of their new staff will provide a dynamic team as they look forward to a productive legislative session.
