West Plains, MO. – Last night at the West Plains Civic Center, the Chamber of Commerce held their awards ceremony to recognize the members of the community who went above and beyond, as well as go over statistics for the past year of 2024.
The Commerce states their overall membership increased by 40, ribbon cutting events numbered 22, and sales on the Chamber Gift Certificate program increased almost 30%.
10 awards were presented during the ceremony. The awards, and those who received them, are pictured and listed below.
Educator of the Year: Judy Carr
Customer Service Award: Holiday Inn Express and Suites
Honorary Member for Life: Jim McFarland
Volunteer of the Year Award: Cody Weeks
Citizen of the Year: Emily Gibson
Civic/Nonprofit Organization of the Year: Joy Pace and the West Plains Senior Center
Humanitarian of the Year: John and Susie Kenslow
City Beautification Award: Al & Mila Kharitonov
Lifetime Achievement Award: The Gammill Family
Chamber Business of the Year: Dr. Greg Carter and the West Plains Public Library
