COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s basketball will host No. 6 LSU at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Mizzou Arena. The contest will stream live on SECN+.
Missouri (12-12, 1-8 SEC) is coming off a narrow loss to No. 18 Tennessee on Sunday.
Graduate point guard De’Myla Brown led Mizzou with a season-high 18 points against the Volunteers.
Senior forward Laniah Randle recorded her fifth double-double of the season with a season-best 11 rebounds and 10 points.
Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter and junior guard Ashton Judd both contributed double-digit scoring figures in the contest as well.
Slaughter leads Missouri with 14.8 points per game this season.
The sophomore ranks fifth in the conference in free throw percentage at 84.4 and is sixth in the country in 3-point percentage (45.5) among athletes who average 1.5+ makes per game.
Judd is averaging 11.7 points per game for Mizzou in SEC play.
Sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke is fourth in the SEC with 54 3-pointers this season.
With the 54 triples, Schreacke is third among all program sophomores for 3-pointers made in a season. She also ranks seventh in the SEC in 3-point percentage (38.8).
Redshirt sophomore Averi Kroenke ranks fourth in the conference and 18th in the country with a 2.57 assist-to-turnover ratio. Kroenke posted a career-high eight assists on Sunday.
As a team, Missouri leads the SEC and is fifth nationally in 3-point percentage at 37.9 percent.
LSU is coached by Kim Mulkey who is in her fourth year with the program. She delivered the program its first National Championship in 2023.
LSU’s roster is led by junior guard Flau’Jae Johnson who is averaging 20 points per game.
This contest will mark the 19th meeting between the two teams, with LSU leading the series 14-4.
Missouri is 2-13 against teams ranked No. 6 in the AP Top 25 with the last victory coming over South Carolina on Feb. 19, 2017.
Thursday will be Missouri’s annual MU Health Care Pink Out game. The Tigers will recognize those affected by breast cancer throughout the game.
