West Plains, MO. – Grizzly Volleyball Head Coach Paty Figueiredo and Assistant Coach Robson Da Costa have resigned from Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP), university officials announced today.
Their resignations are effective Monday, Feb. 17.
Their departure marks the end of another successful chapter for Grizzly Volleyball, university officials noted. This past season, Figuierdo and Da Costa guided the Grizzlies to an outstanding top five finish in the NJCAA Division I National Volleyball Tournament, solidifying the team’s reputation as a powerhouse on the national stage.
Chancellor Dennis Lancaster expressed his gratitude for their contributions. “We are incredibly thankful to Coach Figuierdo and Coach Da Costa for their commitment to Grizzly Volleyball and to the student-athletes they have mentored. We wish them all the best as they pursue new opportunities and continue to make an impact in the world of volleyball.”
University officials said they are grateful for the contributions of Figueiredo and Da Costa to the Grizzly Volleyball program and wished both coaches the very best as they pursue the next steps in their professional careers.
A search for the program’s next head coach will begin soon, officials said.
