Easter Fern Woodruff, 95-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She was born March 31, 1929, in Poynor, MO, to the late Fred and Daisy (Shank) Rawlings.
Fern was an LPN and worked as a charge nurse at a local nursing home. She had a compassionate heart and a deep commitment to her work, always trying to meet the needs of her patients. In her personal life, Fern was talented and creative and enjoyed crocheting, upholstering furniture, and nurturing her garden. She took pride in her home and family and created a warm and welcoming home.
Surviving are her children, Linda Taylor of Doniphan and Shirley Atkins, both of Doniphan, Vernon Woodruff of Indianapolis, IN, and Brenda Martin, Danny Woodruff, and Stephen Woodruff, all of Doniphan.
Fern was preceded in death by three of her children, Gary Woodruff, Donna Woodruff, and a baby that died at birth, and all her brothers and sisters.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
