Missouri football is awaiting more information on the status of starting running back Ahmad Hardy after the Mizzou standout was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Mississippi. According to University of Missouri Athletics, Hardy suffered a gunshot wound at a concert and later underwent surgery. He is currently listed in stable condition. Hardy is expected to play a major role in the Tigers offense this season, but no timeline has been announced for his return to the field.

Missouri State University swimming and diving head coach Dave Collins announced that one of the most decorated swimmers in American history is joining his staff. Six-time Olympic champion Ryan Lochte will join the Bears as an assistant coach for both the Missouri State men’s and women’s teams later this summer.
