From the West Plains Police Department:
The West Plains Police Department has arrested two juveniles in connection with a shooting investigation that began on May 1, 2026. Officers responded to the 600 block of Shuttee Street after receiving a report of a male victim who had been shot with an air gun. Upon arrival, officers located the victim suffering from multiple wounds and experiencing medical distress. The victim was transported for medical treatment with life-threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives identified two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, as suspects in the case. n May 12, 2026, both juveniles were arrested and referred to the 37th Circuit Juvenile Office on allegations of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
