Many people gathered together on Saturday for the unveiling of a beautiful mural painted by talented local artist Tammy Schulz to honor Wendell Bailey.
Wendell has been a lifelong visionary for Willow Springs and this mural highlights some of the amazing things he has been a part of over the years.
Wendell along with numerous family members and friends were in attendance to see the addition to the park that was spearheaded by Amanda Mendez of Howell County News. Mendez thanked the more than two dozen generous donors who came together to make this possible.
The artist, Tammy Schulz was provided a few pictures from the life of Wendell Bailey as reference and was able to show many parts of the story of Wendell’s life through art.
After the unveiling, Wendell addressed the crowd and stressed that this is just the beginning as Legacy Park will be the starting point of a walking tour in Willow Springs that will highlight many of the historic buildings of Willow Springs.
