After a 12‑year hiatus, SkyFire is returning to West Plains on July 3, hosted by Give Local First at its new location, the Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds.
Gates open at 5 p.m., with fireworks at dark presented by Ryan Miller. Food trucks will operate from 5 to 9 p.m., offering BBQ, burgers, tacos, hot dogs, desserts, drinks, and more. Admission is $5 per car, and families are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and tailgates for an evening of community fun.
Organizers say the event is made possible through strong local support from sponsors McDonald’s and the Hilburn‑Vaini family, along with West Plains Pawn & Fine Jewelry, Robertson‑Drago Funeral Home, all Edward Jones financial advisors in West Plains, Leonardo DRS Technologies, the City of West Plains, Ozarks Coca‑Cola Bottling Company, Southern Bank, Mega Motorsports, Mr. Dent Collision Repair, State Farm agent Justin Shelby, Simmons Bank, Mayfield Auto Repair, and Missouri State University–West Plains.
