Caulfield, MO. – A water rescue for a submerged vehicle ended with a DWI charge for the driver, according to reports from law enforcement.
This incident, which took place on Sunday, May 31, began with emergency responders traveling to Patrick Bridge near Caulfield around 9:20 p.m. The Ozark County Sheriff’s Office and local fire crews were first on the scene, finding the vehicle, which had traveled off the bridge before being swept downstream. The Missouri State Highway Patrol later responded, dispatching a boat. The pair, a male driver and a female occupant of the vehicle, were then rescued without further incident.
The driver, James Inman, 46, of Gainesville, was additionally charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Careless and Imprudent Driving.
