Vicky Lynn Hawkins, 64, of Licking, Missouri, passed away at her home on May 29, 2026. She was born on August 4, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Vicky was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time outdoors, enjoying the simple peace of nature, listening to music, and sharing precious moments with those she loved.

During her school years, she enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball, and after becoming a mother, she found just as much joy cheering on her children and grandchildren from the sidelines at their games. She studied many years with Jehovah’s Witnesses and found comfort and joy listening to their talks and learning more about her faith.

Throughout her life, Vicky was known for her strength, compassion, determination, and unwavering work ethic. She began her working years alongside her husband, James, helping build homes in California. Never afraid of hard work, she took pride in working beside him and contributing to the construction of homes and communities.

Later, Vicky dedicated herself to caring for elderly individuals in their homes, providing comfort, companionship, and support to those in need. Her caring nature and generous heart made a lasting impact on the lives of many families.

She then spent many years as a waitress in local cafés, where her friendly smile, quick wit, and warm personality made her a favorite among customers and coworkers alike.

Eventually, Vicky, with the help of her husband James, fulfilled her dream of owning her own restaurant. Through hard work and dedication, they built a business that became a gathering place for family, friends, and members of the community. They later proudly passed the restaurant on to their son, Joshua, continuing a family legacy that meant so much to her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, James; her children, James, Jamie, and Westin; her sisters, Robin, Jackie, and Betty; her grandchildren, Chloe, Rowdy, Remington, Ransom, Rebel (“Cowboy”), Macee, JJ, Indilyn, Jepsen, Bryce, and Skyler; her great-grandchildren, Landry (“La La”) and Hubbard; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Mae Higgins; her father, Jack Higgins; her brother, Jack Jr. Higgins; her sisters, Lois Lynette Hodges and Diane Lula Willey; and her beloved son, Joshua Dean Hawkins.

Vicky will be remembered for her love, her gentle presence, her strength, her wit, and her ability to make everyone around her feel cared for and welcome. The memories she created and the love she shared will live on through the family she treasured so deeply.

Though her absence leaves a tremendous void, her love and legacy will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A service will be held at the family home at a later date.
