Chester Renshaw Jr.

Chester Manuel Renshaw, Jr., was born July 7th, 1943, in Birch Tree, Missouri to Opal Edna Wilcox and Chester Manuel Renshaw, Sr. He passed early in the morning of May 28th, 2026. He was eighty-two years old.

He graduated from Alton High School in 1961 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. He was honorably discharged on May 10th, 1965. He married Mary Jo Dawson on December 5th, 1970, in North Kansas City, Missouri. He worked as an airline mechanic for TWA and American Airlines for over forty years, retiring on November 1st, 2008. He enjoyed hunting; reading; history; country music; the History, Discovery, and National Geographic channels; and watching the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved nature and was an avid fan of Squirt, Sprite, and various desserts.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather, Guy Crites; stepmother, Georgia Crites; stepfather, Bill Reser; an infant brother and sister; brother, Darrell Crites; and best friend, Jerry Sisco.

He is survived by his wife Mary Jo Renshaw of Independence; two daughters, Cheryl Renshaw of Virginia and Jeneea Shrable and husband PJ of Gepp, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Avery Renshaw, Aidan Shrable, Greta Žilinskas, and Easton Shrable; a sister, Anita Schofield and husband Dorman of Kansas City; two nephews with whom he shared very close relationships, Lonnie Ray Forester and wife, Tammy of Alton, Missouri and Chet Sisco and wife Sharon of Alton, Missouri, and several other nieces and nephews. He is and forever will be dearly missed by his family.
