A Mountain View–area traffic stop early Wednesday led to the arrest of a Mountain View man on multiple felony charges, with his bond set at $25,000.
According to a probable cause statement from the Howell County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. Highway 60 around 2 a.m. after observing it leave a closed business and cross both the center line and fog line. The driver, identified as Roy Joseph Kramer III, showed signs of heightened anxiety and admitted to past narcotics use.
A K9 unit alerted to the presence of drugs, and a search of the vehicle uncovered a revolver frame and cylinder, four .22‑caliber rounds, and a glass smoking device containing a crystal substance that later field‑tested positive for methamphetamine. A records check confirmed Kramer is a convicted felon.
