Mountain Home Man Injured in Friday Accident

A Mountain Home man was injured Friday evening in a two‑vehicle crash on Missouri 5 in Gainesville. The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. when a southbound motorcycle failed to stop behind a pickup and struck it from behind.

Troopers say the rider, a 64‑year‑old man from Mountain Home, suffered minor injuries. He was wearing a safety device and was taken by Ozark County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

The pickup driver, a 44‑year‑old Gainesville man, was not reported injured.
