WEST PLAINS, MO- Additional funds were given to two recipients from the Paula Speraneo Memorial Fund for Community & Culture. This comes after the funds first partnership with The Lincolin School Project, a source of some of the fund’s first grants.
Funds were awarded to The Yellow House Community Arts Center and West Plains High School Graduate, McKrae Brewer.
Paula Speraneo helped others see beauty in their own heritage. Her work to amplify local culture was so significant that some say it contributed to West Plains being chosen as the Missouri Arts Council’s 2026 Creative Community.
Speraneo died in early 2025, but her work continues through the Paula Kaye Speraneo Memorial Fund for Community and Culture. Held by the Community Foundation Of West Plains, the fund supports scholarships and grants for community betterment.
