The St. Louis Cardinals failed to complete a three-game sweep of the San Diego Padres thanks to a 6-1 loss in the series finale from Busch Stadium. Alec Burleson drove in the Cardinals only run in the bottom of the fifth extending his hitting streak to 17 games. Kyle Leahy was charged with his fourth loss after surrendering three runs on seven hits in six innings. St. Louis has dropped four of seven.
